As we draw towards the end of the academic year I want to take this opportunity to inform you of some changes to staffing for September, where we’ll be saying goodbye to a couple of members of our staff.

Firstly we’ll be saying goodbye to Mr Burns who has been with us for the year, teaching in Year 5/6 and covering Mrs Anderson’s maternity leave. He’s been a great addition to the Easterside team and we’ll be sorry to see him leave. On behalf of us all, I’d like to wish him all the best in the future and in his new school where he’ll be starting in September.

We’ll also be saying farewell to Mrs Freeman who will be taking early retirement! (Although she will be coming back to teach one day a week next year J). Many of you know Mrs Freeman well as she has worked at Easterside Academy for just under thirty years and has worked in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2, and taught many of you! She has been a HUGE part of our team and has shown great dedication, commitment and passion to educating the children of Easterside! I know you will join me in thanking her for everything she has done for the school, pupils and families over the years and wish her the very, very best!

Mrs Anderson and Mrs Seymour will both return from their maternity leave.

Mrs Rayment will be on maternity leave and will return later on in the year.
