What is the Multi Agency Children’s Hub?
The Multi Agency Children’s Hub is the first point of contact for anyone who has a concern about the welfare or safety of a child or young person or thinks they may need extra help and support. When they are contacted, they will listen to what they are being told and the different agencies might share information with each other to try and work out whether they can help.
The Multi Agency Children’s Hub is a partnership between:
- Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council

Any of the above will be able to assist you with your concern.

Easterside Academy works in partnership with 'Operation Encompass'.
Operation Encompass is a police and education early information sharing partnership enabling schools to offer immediate support for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. Information is shared by the police with a school's trained Key Adult (DSL) prior to the start of the next school day after officers have attended a domestic abuse incident thus enabling appropriate support to be given, dependent upon the needs and wishes of the child.
Children experiencing domestic abuse are negatively impacted by this exposure; domestic abuse has been identified as an Adverse Childhood Experience and can lead to emotional, physical and psychological harm. Operation Encompass aims to mitigate this harm by enabling immediate support, making a child's day better and giving them a better tomorrow.
Operation Encompass believes that children are victims of domestic abuse in their own right and should be acknowledged as such.
Accidents and Illnesses in School
If your child is ill or has an accident during the school day they will be checked by a member of staff who is trained in First Aid. We have staff in all areas of the school that are paediatric trained. If we feel it necessary we will contact you using the details you give us on your child’s contact form. It is therefore extremely important that these numbers are kept up to date and you inform the school office of any changes.
In the case of small scrapes or bruises we normally inform parents through the use of a slip that will be passed to you at the end of the school day. In the case of a bump to the head it is the academy’s policy to try to contact you by telephone even if your child seems fine. If we are unable to contact you, your child will be closely monitored and a slip will be passed to you at the end of the day.
If we have a concern or we feel your child would benefit from being at home we will contact you as soon as possible.
