Year 6 Class of 2020
Dear Year 6 Children,
I hope this letter finds you all well. What a final year at primary school this has been for you. None of us could have predicted last September what the future would bring!
It has been lovely to see some of you back in school in these last final weeks, as well as those of you who were regularly on our home learning; and those that popped back to say goodbye. All the staff here wish that we could have got you all together and celebrated in our usual Easterside Academy style at the end of the year - Remembering all your fantastic years at primary school! J
There are things that you may feel you’ve missed out on at the end of Year 6 including your SATs – all the Year 6 staff and I know how hard you were working towards them and some of you will be disappointed that you didn’t get to sit them. It is important to remember however that those tests would have only told you a little something about yourself and not everything! Remember there are many things that make you smart and make you ‘you’ and your results would have only been a tiny part of that.
Remember, we are extremely proud of all your achievements throughout your primary school years and we wish you all the best in your future and at secondary school!
Best wishes and good luck!
Yours sincerely,
D. Linacre
