Thank you for your support during our inspection over the last two days and for the responses that were posted to the Parent View site. We have been expecting ‘the call’ for a little while now following our last inspection in January 2013. As you’ll know there have been significant changes to education since then: new curriculum, new assessments, new expectations and within school there have also been many changes – not least converting to academy status in April 2014 and me taking on the position of the new head in September 2013. It was certainly time for Ofsted to come and have a look at us!
The children were absolutely fabulous and their hard work and excellent behaviour was a pleasure to see.
The outcome of the inspection is not available until probably March and will obviously be shared with you then.
Thank you also to everybody who came to the Year 5 and 6 Parent Open Morning yesterday and spoke to the inspectors. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase the work that we do together with the children. My thanks also has to go to the excellent staff team here at Easterside Academy who make such things happen!
